In my last post, I told you about my new cell phone, which is pretty skookum, I have to admit.  For instance, I can go on the internet and everything with the little devil.  But that’s not why I got it.  No, I got it because I changed service providers, and they said I could have it for nothing if I signed up for two years.  And that’s when I learned a little lesson about customer loyalty (and ironically enough, there’s tremendous customer loyalty when it comes to cell phones, where the service is basically inter-changable with different companies).

I had been with the same provider since the days of brick phones (well, a little later than that, but not much.) And I never had any complaints about the cell phone service.  But I had a problem with the company’s radio and television stations — I just didn’t like the way they ran them.  Also, it bugged me that they kept wanting to sell me new stuff but they never wanted to give me new stuff — even though I’d been a loyal customer for so long.  They never said, hey, have a free cell phone.  Or, you’ve had that cell phone for over two years, come on in and get a new one.  Nope, they just wanted me to buy an iPhone (no thanks).  They weren’t willing to do as much to KEEP me as a customer as the other guys were to GET me as a customer.

But we don’t want to make the same mistake with our loyal listeners.  So listen to worldbeatcanada radio to find out just how much we’re willing to reward you.  Just for listening to the show.

This week’s  worldbeatcanada radio podcast is up at the website, here. Or, you can find the worldbeatcanada radio podcast for free at the iTunes store. However you get there, you’ll hear these great artists. (Click on the names of these world musicians to go to their websites and maybe buy some of their CDs).
