It’s great to see this kind of quality event in a smaller centre. The Harrison Festival of the Arts is another example of a spectacular setting holding a fun, family friendly and yes, fabulous event.
Is BC truly “The Best Place on Earth”? The provincial tourism people say yes, but there’s a certain bias there. I say yes, but there are many places I have not been. On a day like today it is hard to deny the natural beauty. And our festivals (Jazz, Dragon Boat, Folk, etc.) celebrate our multiculturalism and our love of a good time.
Bruce Byfield has given the idea some thought and articulation in his blog. (Thanks, John, for pointing this out).
But today is one of those perfect Canada Days, when the weather is warm, the beer is cold, and the Jazz Festival has many free events for us to enjoy. So I must away.
