CLAUDE DUKE

Claude Duke is a man of style who loves classic Latin melodies and fashion. His two passions brought him to Cuba in search of a classic long-sleeved shirt called a ‘Guayabera’. He not only found the threads he’s always wanted, he found a city rich in character and charm and … the inspiration for a video postcard featuring one of his favorite songs, La Guantanamera.  That classic is also part of a new album he’s recorded called ‘All My Best’. Claude Duke brings his style back to the world.beats Spotlight later in the show.

+ LOTS OF NEW VIDEOS: from Wanderlust by Kiran Ahluwalia, Puffy goes to Tokyo and it’s All Good Things from Pacha Massive!

INSIDE THE BEAT: You’ll also meet Camilo Lara, a fun-loving DJ and producer who finds himself at the cutting edge of Mexico’s burgeoning electronica scene. An avid music collector, he amassed 45 thousand albums which he used to make an annual Christmas compilation for his friends. That hobby turned into a full-blown recording project called Mexican Institute of Sound and one of this year’s most celebrated releases, ‘Piñata’. As the name suggests, the album is filled with tasty bits and pieces from all eras and musical stripes plus, a lot of good-natured fun. More on that when we go Inside The Beat with Mexican Institute of Sound.
